This Weekend (May 22–25)

Northwest Folklife Festival @ Seattle Center · Fri May 22–Mon May 25 · Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St, Seattle · All ages · Free (suggested $20 donation) Biggest event in Seattle this long weekend. The 55th annual festival celebrates traditional arts from around the world: music, dance, workshops, food and more across 26 stages. This year's theme is Ubuntu. Sunday at 11am there's a Music Together set on the Artists at Play Stage (great for littles), plus a Crankie shadow puppet show from the Crankie Factory. Details →

Urbanist Shoreline Coffee in the Park @ Twin Ponds Park · Sat May 23 · 9–10:30am · Near the community garden · All ages, dogs welcome · Free Casual outdoor hangout with Orcabay coffee and snacks. Memorial Day observances: If you'd like to mark the day, Edmonds has a ceremony at the Memorial Cemetery at 11am and a Veterans Plaza event at 2:30pm (ends with Taps at 3pm). Both are free and open to the public. Details →

AAPI Heritage Month Celebration @ Shorewood High School · Wed May 27 · 5–9pm · 17300 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline · All ages · Free Food trucks at 5pm, performances throughout the evening including Seattle Kokon Taiko at 7pm.
